Removing debris from the gravel bed is an important step in cleaning your aquarium. Gravel Vacuum Cleaners with a self start wide nozzle make the job much easier and help to avoid removing beneficial bacteria from the gravel bed. Wide nozzle cleans larger area using less water and time and cleans corners and edges more efficiently. Hose length on all sizes is 56".

Comments: This vacuum does a great job of cleaning gravel- if you're willing to part with some water, obviously. I had no idea how these things worked, but it's pretty intuitive and simple. You also need a bucket to collect the dirty water in. I've crystal clean water and happy fish- it's pretty inexpensive either way, so it's definitely better than hauling my aquarium back and forth trying to clean the gravel by hand.
