Polyp Lab Nano Reef-Roids Coral Food - 2 oz. Information

Although originally engineered for feeding the Goniopora genus, this product has been very well received in the hobby as an excellent food source for all filter feeding corals.

The particle size of Reef-roids is around 150-200 microns. This is THE perfect size for Goniopora to feed on. When using Reefroids, you will notice excellent polyp extension on all filter feeding corals. Zoanthids, Mushrooms and Ricordia will demonstrate a distinct feeding response. And with continued use, your filter feeding corals will experience faster growth and better colors.

Ingredients: Unlike many other "coral foods" on the market, Reef-roids is NOT made with processed fish meals or other ingredients that can rapidly degrade water quality. Reef-roids is a mixture of naturally occurring marine planktons including a specific species of zooplankton that is unique to our product.

Directions: For each 50G of your system volume, mix 1/2 teaspoon of Reef-roids with some water from your tank. Stir this mixture until it has completely dissolved. We highly recommend target feeding the paste to your corals using a syringe or turkey baster while circulation pumps are turned off. Otherwise, pour the paste in an area of high flow before turning off the in-tank circulation pumps.

One 2oz. container will feed a 50G tank for 3 months. (Estimate based on 2 feedings per week).

Guaranteed Analysis:, Crude Protein 60% min, Crude Lipid 20% min, Ash 6% max, Crude Fiber 8% max, Moisture 6% max, Astaxanthin 150-200 ppm.

Comments: I alternate between dry and liquid foods for my corals and my corals seem to really respond to Reef-Roids. My Pink Lemonade Acro's polyp extension was really nice after target feeding it!! It's good stuff!!

Comments: All of my corals do eat it, or seem to be eating it. It's hard to rate the product on the long term results as far as growth and color. I will rate again in one year when I have solid results to report.

Comments: Fed this as soon as I got it. Orangy, reddish powder that is mixed with your saltwater in a cup, stir it, feed and watch everything just grab this stuff in a frenzy. I have an anemone/porcelain crab and he did not stop fishing this stuff! My little filter feeders on rock went nuts! Slightly fogs water but clears with time. You can see the little plankton floating (not living obviously) when feeding this!

Comments: Not a bad product for the money. The corals do tend to enjoy this, though they don't respond the way the product advertisements would make you believe. Only real issue I have is that it doesn't mix that well. Most of it settles to the bottom. My blenny and mandarin appear to like it too!

Comments: Bought a gonipora not knowing the care level. Was told it might last a month or two being that I'm a one year aquarist. Long story short I was told to spot feed reef roids by a friend and it's been rockin strong for 6 months.

Comments: My LPS and filter feeders seem to like it a lot. I noticed my Scoly extends her tenticles when I feed the tank. However, it's really no better than Coral Frenzy or Cyclop-eeze and it's a lot more expensive. The only great benefit is that it doesn't tend to pollute the tank. If it was really superior to the other products, I would have given it 5 stars.

Comments: I have SPS / LPS / and Polyps in a 90 gallon tank with sump. This feeds all my corals and filter feeders. Been using this for two weeks and so far everything looks great. I prefer this over the oyster feed and will purchase this again in the future. 4 oz product seems to be PLENTY for many many months
