Too much carbon dioxide (CO2) in your
aquarium water can cause fish stress and diseases that may harm your aquatic livestock. Keep the CO2 in your tank in its right level by simply automating your CO2 system with the Red Sea CO2 Electronic Control Valve (Solenoid) from
Pet Store. Solenoid protects your tank from the incidence of surging CO2 and thereby decreasing the pH level of the water by automatically shutting off the flow of CO2 from a time switch or controller when the pH level changes or when the time that was set had lapsed.
The Solenoid works with the use of a hose barb with a lock and a thread that is 1/8 inches thick. Simply attach the control valve in between the pressure reducer and the needle valve using the hose and the thread. The hose is attached to the CO2 tubing while the thread is placed into the needle valve. You can also opt to attach the control valve directly to the pressure regulator’s outlet. It can be used in all CO2 systems and can be easily connected to any pH controller or time switch.
The Red Sea CO2 Electronic Control Valve (Solenoid) is economical. It uses only 2 watts of power and generates a very low temperature when it operates.
Solenoid for automating dosing of CO2
Too much CO2 can reduce the pH in an aquarium to levels that are stressful for fish. For the safe use of CO2 it is highly recommended to automate the CO2 system with either a simple time switch or by a pH controller. The in-line solenoid Control Valve connects the CO2 system with either of these devices. Includes both a hose barb with lock nut for in-line connection on the CO2 tubing and a standard 1/8” thread for direct connection to a pressure reducer.
- Low working temperature
- Low (2W) power consumption
- Connects to time switches or pH controllers
- Suitable for all CO2 systems
