Seachem Laboratories Flourish Excel CO2 Plant Supplement - 500mL Information

The Seachem Laboratories Flourish Excel CO2 Plant Supplement (500 ml) from Pet Store provides your aquarium plant an alternative source of carbon for its daily nutrient needs. Your plants need carbon as much as we need oxygen to live, and this product is here to help. With this bottled solution, you can nourish the leafy inhabitants of your aquarium on a regulated and controlled basis.

The Flourish Excel solution is made up of concentrated carbon that is more than enough to sustain your aquatic plant life, either by using the product alone or with a CO2 injection. It even helps accelerate your plant`s process of taking its carbon needs the natural way, getting it from carbon dioxide and other organic compounds. Aside from these, the product contains properties that reduce iron from the plants, enabling it to consume more ferrous iron that makes it healthier. The product is safe and harmless on your plants, and it has no nitrate or phosphate particles.

You can check out and buy your bottle of the Seachem Laboratories Flourish Excel CO2 Plant Supplement (500 ml) is available in leading pet stores for a good price. Or you can browse through the internet for this product, and get the best bargain you can get.

Flourish Excel? is a simple source of readily available organic carbon. All plants require a source of carbon. This is typically obtained from CO2, but, may also be obtained via relatively simple organic compounds (such as photosynthetic intermediates). Since both processes occur simultaneously one can derive a substantial benefit with the use of Flourish Excel? either alone or in conjunction with CO2 injection. Flourish Excel? also has iron reducing properties which promote the ferrous state of iron (Fe+2), which is more easily utilized by plants than ferric iron (Fe+3). Flourish Excel? is an integral component of Seachem?s plant products and is recommended for use with the entire Flourish? line as well as our Flourite? and Onyx? gravels. Contains no phosphate or nitrate.

DIRECTIONS: On initial use or after a major (> 40%) water change, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons*). Thereafter use 1?capful for every 200 L (50 gallons*) daily or every other day. For smaller dosing please note that each cap thread is approximately 1 mL. Note: The 2 & 4 L container?s cap is 10 mL. DO NOT OVERDOSE! IN CASE OF EYE EXPOSURE, PROMPTLY & THOROUGHLY WASH EYES WITH WATER & SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.

Excellent!

Comments: I use this in cherry shrimp tanks that don't have CO2 and it seems to work great for me and doesn't seem to have any adverse effects on the shrimp. Highly recommend.

Excellent!

Comments: Used as an off label treatment, along with a phosphate reducer, killed off a stubborn brown/black algae infestation in my 55 gallon fresh water aquarium in 7-10 days, without injury to my fish. Will keep a supply of this around !

Great!

Comments: I bought this to battle black beard algae that was taking over my Amazon swords. This was a stopgap until my CO2 system was set up. It worked pretty well and is fairly economical.

"Algea Destroyer!!" - Product Review by Leslie E Wilson Jr (Posted on 3/5/09)

Excellent!

Comments: I picked this up after reading how effectively it deals with tough algea, including the dreaded BBA. I have to say that after trying it myself I am completly impressed with how effective it really is. I overdosed on the initial treatment by 300% (as I read others have done) and BAM! No more algea of any kind within 3 days. It's been several weeks now and still no algea. No adverse effect on the fish. (125G with Discus, Rams, Tetra's, etc.) Water clouded up a bit at first but was clear in 1-2 days.

Oh yeah, plants are greener now as well. New shots everywhere. (Swords, Anibias, Java Fern.)
