Comments: The results ou are easy to read. The only reason I don't give five stars is because you have to mix a powder and the exact amount is not explained, it is only said to "put a light coat" on the measuring/mixing rod. I expected a better solution. For example, it would be better if this reagent was liquid and one would need just to use one drop of it, which is easier to measure.

Comments: The tests were consistent and accurate. I tested my faucet water and it had 3 ppm of silica. My RO/DI water and tank had 0 ppm of silica. I check every 3 to 4 days for about 2 weeks and I came up with the same results.

Comments: The test kit is simple to use. Very, very clear directions to use for both the high and low end tests. Nice, a test kit comes with both high and low.
<br />I was indifferent about the testing tray at first, I could not figure out why they would not just use a test tube. Then I tested my tank, tap and distiled water all at the same time next to each other, eaisy to compare; Very nice touch.

<br />Compared to other test kits (not silicate tests) I have bought it seems to have small bottles of the testing chemicals. I think if you are doing the high end testing you get about 50 tests and only about 10 at the low end. Then again, silicate is not something you test for on a daily or even a weekly basis unless you have a problem.
