"Does the job"

Comments: A lot of reefers, especially when first starting out, don't realize the importance of magnesium. They hear calcium & alkalinity so much, they don't realize proper magnesium levels are crucial to help keeping your tank stable. If you are seriously deficient in magnesium, it is going to take a LOT of this supplement to raise your levels. I fill a bucket with R/O water, put a cup or so of the crystals in, drop a powerhead in to help dissolve the crystals for about 15-30 minutes, then add the mix to the tank. Seachem products have never let me down. Just remember, if you have a big tank and need to raise your levels up to 1300+, the biggest container (4L) is the best bang for your buck.

"Measure before adjusting Mg"
- Product Review by Joseph Modzelewski

Comments: Be sure to order a magnesium test kit with the supplement. I bought the salifert kit and found it easy to interpret with highly reproducible results. You will use a lot of magnesium to get small bumps in the tank's magnesium level, but being in ionic balance has made my pH much easier to maintain. I needed to bring my magnesium level up ~300ppm, which took a lot of supplementation, but maintaining the new level has been easy since I switched to Seachem calcium supplement with maintenance levels of magnesium in it.

Comments: Way more economical than buying liquid solutions, and also raises calcium faster than ESV Magnesium.

Comments: Got this about a week ago - has taken a few days of dosing to see any movement, but I'm hopeful that with small dosing increases my levels will reach their optimum.

good bang for the buck on this product and of course the standard marinedepot.com speedy delivery and processing.

"Works as advertised"
- Product Review by Mark Stedman

Comments: Added three cups to my 150 gallon system to raise Mag by about 100 PPM. It always take a lot of Mag to raise a tank's level. Had to dissolve each cup in about half a gallon of RO water.

Comments: Dry powder always seems like you get more than liquids. Seachem is a trusted name and I would recommend this additive for MG.

Comments: seems to work just fine.
buy a big container, it takes a lot to raise Mg a little.
pay attention to your SG, as this will raise when dosing.

"Magnesium"
- Product Review by John Atkinson
(Posted on 10/21/08)

Comments: A lot of people will tell you to go get some epson salt because its the same thing. That is not a true statement. This is much more concentrated amount of magnesium and to get the same dosage amount in the tank I only have to use a fraction of the amount. Great product!

"Great Product!"
- Product Review by Michelle Gunning
(Posted on 8/21/08)

Comments: Worked great. It raised MG to the level I needed, but took some time to dissolve completely. I let it stand overnight to dissolve. This is the first dry MG supplement I've used, I have used Kent's liquid version in the past, but It was too expensive for the amount I needed. The dry seems to be a better deal.
