Comments: This cage is alright and is good for travel, but I don't like it as much as my other crittertrails. It only has access from the top so it is a little bit difficult to just reach in and grab or move something. In order to really access the inside of the cage I have to take the whole top off, which for some reason sticks to the wire side, so I basically have to disassemble the whole cage (even if I could take the top off, the sides start to get very wobbly so I would have to take it all apart anyway). This is not a big deal, but I prefer having top and side access to allow me to hide treats in little places, rearrange furniture that has been toppled, and easily grab my little mice friends to come out and play with me. Also, I don't like that I can't put my own water bottle in on the side, since I often have issues with the water bottles that come with crittertrail cages.

Comments: My daughter has a baby hamster and we wanted a small, inexpensive habitat for it until it gets a little larger. Within 2 days, baby "Todd" could open the side port door and escape. Luckily, we found him in a Little People Farm Barn snuggling with the Little Animals :) I assumed the port doors were not on well, so I made sure I put them on and then stood and watched as the little guy grabbed the inner part with his teeth and turned. It slipped right off and he was ready to escape again. I had to use clear shipping tape to keep him contained. I don't mind the taped up cage, but be aware that the port doors are not the greatest and there is a chance for escape. I recommend taping them shut from the moment you place your hamster in the cage to prevent the inevitable hours long search for the tiny hamster in a huge house.

Comments: This is perfect for one or two little gerbils, easy to assemble, keep clean, and kids love the bright colors. It is small, yet safe and the kids can carry it everywhere with them.

Comments: Although I own about 3 Critter trails this one I think is my Favoriite! My Mouse who escapes everything stay well in this one and I no longer have to worry about him becoming a Cat snack :) Thanks Petstore.com!!
