Comments: I owned a pet store when I purchased this wheel to go on my cage. It is made for cages of the same brand. Since I have 2 teddy bear hamsters (Betty and Carl) I wanted to have a second wheel. It is bigger than the wheel that comes with the cage, and my 2 hamsters used to try to use it at the same time because no one wanted to use the smaller one. The smaller wheel is perfectly usable but really a little too small for regular sized hammies. They know a good thing when they see it. Betty won the dispute and has taken over the new wheel. She even sleeps in it and used it for her nursery twice, in preference to any of the 4 other den options she had. This necessitated taping the wheel so she would not spin the babies. The comfort wheel is very easy to detach from the cage for cleaning. It can be taken apart by pinching together the halves of the split axle while sliding the wheel off of the axle half of the wheel. (you will understand this if you look at the wheel.) Smooth wheels such as these are preferable to the wire wheels because there is no wire mesh for their little fingers and toes to get caught in, and it is also more comfortable for their hands and feet. These are also quieter than the wire wheels, and if oiled will not get your hammie greasy. Optionally, you can apply cooking oil to the inside of the axle when you have the wheel apart to make the wheel perfectly silent. (When you oil a WIRE wheel, it always gets on the Hamster) NOTE: mineral oil or petroleum jelly are also nontoxic, but can cause diarrhea if the lick it; do not use toxic oils or toxic grease) ANOTHER NOTE: though the wheel is very quiet, there is no way to prevent a happy hamster from unloading her cheeks in the wheel and then going for a run. Technology can only go so far.

Comments: Connection to existing CritterTrail cage was fast and easy. It is super easy to clean. The hamsters love it as both can use it at the same time-what fun!! This was an excellent product.
