Comments: This all plastic valve is hard to find in your local hardware stores. It's great that there's no metal for your salt water tank. Works great so far without a single drop. Hopefully there will be no algae build-up in the future.

Comments: I needed something to stop water from reversing and filling up my wet/dry should and if the power fails. I found this valve that said it would do exactly what I needed it to do so bought it. After anxiously waiting on it (delivery came on the LAST NLT day that it said it would arrive) I installed it and cut the power to test it out... and what happen? the water filled up the wet/dry. Maybe not as fast, but it didn't prevent the backflow. Shocked is an understatement. I'd return it, but don't want to deal with any more disappointments.

Comments: This valve was used in a large roof drain application to replace a corroded cast iron valve. This valve helped prevent a down flow of water spurting backing up through the check valve.

Comments: place it on sump pump line to stop back flow, so far it works.

Comments: The check easy to install. As it has only been operating for a few hours I'm unable to evaluate how it will handle constant use and small debris.

Comments: This swing check valve is made solid. Valve opens fully to allow maximun flow and very little restriction. A much better option than a spring check valve and a must have to prevent back siphoning.

Comments: Works great and a must to keep any backwash from entering the sump when you powerdown. As an extra cautionary measure, you can drill a very tiny hole in your u-tube return ( on the underside in the water) .. Should the check valve slip, the small hole in the utube will break the siphon....

Comments: Great valve, could be bit smaller though. I purchased the 3/4 inch valve to prevent back siphon into my sump. Other then being a bit large, the valve works great. I shut my pump off and had no water enter back into the sump. The valve is made well. The plastic used on the exterior of the valve is thick. The inner flap is also sturdy and has a hevy duty gasket to seal the valve. All and all, this valve does what it was designed to do and does it well. I no loger have to worry about a power outage and coming home to a floor covered with sea water.

Comments: I am very pleased with this product. I was looking for a clear version and I found it here. I use it for my AC unit's condensation water run off that feeds into the graywater line. When my washing machine empties the water during a cycle, it runs out too fast to drain through my graywater line so it backs up in my AC unit! This happens only when the water table is high after alot of rain. This product works like a champ.

Comments: I have used these on my koi pond pump system previously, so I knew it would work the way I needed it to. I installed this check valve in my salt water washdown system on my boat, however. It works great, because it doesn't require significant suction to draw water through it, but still works like a charm in preventing backflow. My only complaint is that this item should cost 1/4 of what I paid. Think about it. After shipping, this little PVC part cost about $24. I guess I could have shopped around, but my time is worth money too. Swing check valves are not that easy to find. Most check valves are spring types. The part was delivered promptly, as advertised.
