Comments: Placed this on my sump pump to reduce the back flow when I turn the pumps off for maintenance. Works great and dose the job!

Comments: One of the best purchases I have made for my new tank. I orginialy set my new tank up without one of these, once I found this True Union Swing Check Valve - 1 inch FPT x 1 inch FPT I re-did my return plumbing to add this in. It does not restrict the flow from the pump and works perfectly.

Comments: I've found that this valve works great for about a year then it wont close properly. I think part of the problem is that the rubber gets hard and won't seal properly. I don't think this is a problem since it is easy to replace with the union fittings. Just think of it as insurance you have to renew every year not a one time cost.

Comments: Installed the 1"x1" check valve a couple of days ago on my 200 gal. salt tank; the installation was a snap. After I got everything put back together and running, I shut off the power to my return pump and it immediately stopped the flow and siphon effect from the main tank. I would recommend this product.I now have a lot more piece of mind knowing that I won't come home to a flood if the power goes out.

Comments: I highly recomend having one of these incase of a power falure. Like the ol saying, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Comments: Set up a custom drilled 40 gallon breeder. Loc line returns below water level just deep enough that a siphon break hole would not stop back siphoning if power were to fail. Had to use a check valve to stop back siphoning.

Comments: I tried the check valves from the local home improvement store and the first time the power went off I spent 2 hours soaking up water from my floors. With the True Union valves I have not had one malfunction even though my power goes off regularly. They are certainly worth the money.

Comments: It worked fine for a year, but now it no longer prevents siphoning.The ends come off for easy maintenance if needed, but it is close to impossible to brush the inside. I am going to leave in bleach for a couple of days to see if that helps clean off the algae residue stuck inside.

Comments: AWESOME tested twice no back flow into sump tried ones from lowes but can not see inside the valve, being clear has the advantage of being able to see if there are snails inside. big pluss to ease of disconnection for cleaning also

Comments: My husband was absolutely thrilled with this valve. When he first saw it he said, "That's what I have been looking for". We are both very pleased with such a helpful little, actually quite big part.

Comments: A little pricy but way less expensive than replacing the carpet.

Comments: I wanted a true check valve, not a cheap one. This is it. It is totally effective in keeping the water in the sump and not draining my tank. It does every thing it is supposed to. Plus its threaded on both ends and is a union on top of that. It is the perfect solution for my plumbing. Well worth the money spent. It did come in white PVC instead of what the pic shows. Maybe that should be changed. But either way it works.

Comments: This is my second one of these. I have a 1 inch on the return line from the sump of a bigger tank. Because my tanks both use a siphon overflow, I wouldn't set-up without one. They are well constructed and easy to clean, although I would have preferred the clear model (just a personal preference). Also makes it really easy to disconnect your return pump for cleaning. And as always, service from you is top shelf.

Comments: My old valve would leak and overflow my sump. This one has a solid hold on the water wanting to drain back.

Comments: Well built and very sensitive check flow operation.Requires the slightest pressure to open and closes instantly if your pump stops for any reason. The true unions make any kind of plumbing servicing that much easier. The one i received was white pvc, but i think the white pvc is stronger anyway.

Comments: Valve worked perfectly - easy installation - union design should simplify future pump maintenance needs
