"Lower Temperature"
- Product Review by John Gerace

Comments: I bought the Aquawind to replace a huge fan that I have which constantly blows on my 90 gallon Reef tank to keep the temperatuire in the 74 - 78 degree range. I dont know if one is sufficient. Therfore, I am ordering another. I hope that both keep the temperature in the 74 - 78 range so thatt I can get rid of the huge fan that is always on and an eye sore. Yes, I am too cheap to buy a chiller. So, this is a reasonable cost alternative if it works.
One drawback is that because I have a wood enclosure, I had to mount on the back of teh tank which is no big deal and which is why I am buying another i.e one for each side of the tank.
The productg itself is quiest and has blue lights (dont know why). Come with a 2 yaear warranty so its worth a chance.
Tunze products are generally excellent.

"Tunze Aquawind Fan"

Comments: Seems like a nice little unit. Quiet, good air movement on the surface of the water, not near as much heat hitting the water from the lighting system(light on the unit are a nice touch, what purpose they serve I'm not sure) Did have to modify the mounting bracket to fit my 150 gallon reef tank though.
Over all it works a lot better than the portable house fan I was using(only been using for a week now)!!!

"FAN"

Comments: The fan cools my 55 gallon aquarium very well, but also increases evaporation. All this was expected. I had to improvise mounting it on my tank though.

"As promised"

Comments: I have had this on my aquarium for two days now, and it works just as promised in the description. It is quiet and does actually cool the tank temp to where we wanted it. We have a standard plastic rimmed aquarium, so the clamp doesn't fit as snugly as I would prefer. However, I got it on there good enough to do its job. So far, so good.

"Poorly engineered"
- Product Review by Frank Tutume

Comments: Low power consumption (as every Tunze equipment uses to be) and noise but not supposed to work near umidity and/or saltwater. I am a great fan of Tunze (almost a "get maniac"), but my 3 fans broke just after 1 month of use. One by one, the circuits became visually rusty, the propellers stopped and the lights worked no more. Detail: my 340gal tank is outdoors and has a roof, plenty of air flow and protected from rain, so I suppose its moisture output cannot be considered excessive. I have suggested Tunze to seal the circuits.

"It works and look great"

Comments: I got two of them for my oceanic tech 120. I simply remove the clamp and set them on the top(Back) on my tech tank. With 2 250W DE halides and 2 130W(hamilton) power compacts. My chiller almost never needs to kick in. My tank temp stay at a constant 77.5 degree. The Blue LEDS on these looks really cool at night. Well design and super
quite.
