"A Must Have!"
- Product Review by Lisa Maxwell

Comments: This putty works great for building your reef landscapes and for affixing your frags. I will definitely buy this product again when I run out of the first stick. I really like the red coralline coloring as it matches my existing rock.

You do need to heed the warning on the instructions regarding your protein skimmer - it will producing excessive foam for ~24 hours after using the putty in your tank. I didn't turn my skimmer off, I just opened it up enough to prevent overflow.

"Terrible Product"
- Product Review by Ryan Schaeffer
(Posted on 3/31/12)
-
Comments: First off let me just say I am a fan of a lot of Little Fishies products. With that being said, I believe this is one product they need to stop producing or at least go back to the drawing board on. First off what ever this stuff has in it, it sure does make my Reef tank's protein skimmer foam up like crazy. Second this stuff does not stick to anything other than my fingers. I have used underwater epoxy stuff just like this but made from a different company and it worked great. I used the Aquastik to secure 6 new coral frags and eneded up using a large portion on the stick just because it couldn't hold anything to the live rock and in the end when I was finally able to get things to stay in place I ended up with some stressed corals and ugly blogs of pink epoxy. I will never recommend this to anyone and think people should be smart and stay away from this product.

Comments: I wish this stuff was a little sticker, but it does what is states. I was able to attach some moniti caps, digis, pocilipora, and built a base for my torch. It does cause the skimmer to foam more but it only lasted about an hour.

"Micro Bubble CITY"
- Product Review by Jordan Knox
(Posted on 1/29/12)

Comments: I used this product 8 days ago. I used 75% of it to secure my rockscape. My protein skimmer has been rendered useless and just creates micro bubbles. Over the past 8 days I've changed 25g of water to try and resolve the issue.

Still an issue today.

"AquaStik was disappointing!"
- Product Review by Randi Tokar
(Posted on 1/9/12)
-
Comments: I had only used Epo Putty for securing corals in our tanks. Gave AquaStik a try, partly for its coraline color (EpoP is white). This stuff caused EXCESSIVE and unrelenting foaming in the protein skimmer...awful! It also did not want to "grip" either surface, and it had a much faster set time than the label said. I mixed up separate balls for three small corals. The product set up before I could affix the already-set-in-place corals.

"Not impressed"
- Product Review by Leonard Thome
(Posted on 12/23/11)
-
Comments: I used this product and was not at all impressed. It bonded slowly so I had to hold the coral frag to the rock for a long while before it held. I only used a small amount and still my protein skimmer went crazy and started to bubble over. The directions say that this may happen if you use a large amount of the compound but I only used a small (1/4 inch) slice for one frag. I had to finally turn off the protein skimmer so that it would not bubble over and still it didn't calm down until the next day. To me, I have found better results with reef glue.

"Not Satisfied"
- Product Review by Brad Woodberg
(Posted on 9/11/11)

Comments: I bought this to help secure liverock in my tank. In hindsight i should have done it when i setup the tank with drilling holes/zip ties or PVC scaffolding, but my tank has been very well established, and i was just concerned about rocks falling/moving by making a little padding at the contact points of the liverock. I used 1 stick of this in several different locations as directed, and as many other folks (and the instructions noted) that it drove my skimmer crazy. The instructions say that a quantity will impact the skimmer for 36 hours, but it took an entire 8 days (even doing several 10% water changes) before it calmed down. During that time a number of my SPS corals and even mushrooms we're quite unhappy. Nothing died, fish are fine, inverts are fine, but the corals aren't looking like they did before i used this, though they seem to slowly be coming back day by day. The other issue as many folks point out, is that this stuff doesn't seem to cure well, even after several days, and seems to still fall apart a bit. The pieces i've put in place have done the trick, the liverock is secured, but in the future i probably wouldn't use this again.

"Not sure whats different"
- Product Review by Mark Piotrowski
(Posted on 3/31/11)
-
Comments: Well... I am not sure whats different in this stuff than just regular old epoxy but to be on the safe side I went with this. Pretty much just like working with any other 2 part epoxy... cut it... roll it together... stick it. Instructions warn of excessive foam if you use alot but I only used about a quarter size piece and still got excessive foam so I would recommend shutting your skimmer down until well cured. All in all a decent product and makes me feel better that it is labeled as "reef safe".

"It does work but. . ."
- Product Review by Jason Day
(Posted on 1/3/11)
-
Comments: I like the color of the product and I like the consistancy of it. The main problem I have in working with it is that it is not sticky at all, so it makes it hard to put it on something and have it stick. A minor issue is that it cures in five minutes realy fast, it goes from workable to hard instantly. Not a major issue but something to be aware of.

My main issue with the product is its total lack of stickiness.

"No better than anything else"
- Product Review by William Webb
(Posted on 4/12/10)

Comments: This did not work very well for the price. I still had to use the epoxy in conjunction with Super Glue to get the frags to stick to the rock. This product didn't work any better than the reef safe plumber's epoxy that you can buy at Home Depot for $3.00. The only reason to pay the premium would be for the color.

"Two Little Fishies Aquastik"
- Product Review by Travis Fick
(Posted on 11/23/09)

Comments: Well it doesnt adhere to damp rock at all. I did not dry my fully cured rock, i used Paper towel to damp dry the spots i needed to.I put super glue on the 2 pieces of rock then put a ball of this in between and smashed it together. Let it sit for a minute and squirted water on the super glue and it held together. This was all done out of the water. I checked the pieces today (day after)with pressure and it is a VERY strong bond. So with some mcguyvering it ended up working very well.

"Works well"
- Product Review by Shaun Petersen
(Posted on 6/30/09)
-
Comments: I love this stuff. Easy to work with and I've used it for numerous things outside of fragging.

The thing that people seem to overlook (and is not clearly explained on the packaging) is that this product is not a glue. You don't just stick a glob to a rock and viola. You need to treat it like play dough; mold it around a base or press it into a crevice, so that once it hardens, it won't be able to detach. Once you get the hang of working with it, you will find it invaluable! I always have a stick lying around...

"Great Sticking Power"
- Product Review by Cherish Hockey
(Posted on 5/17/09)

Comments: This epoxy definitely gets the job done when it comes to getting things stuck places. A little bit goes a very long way. However, this was supposed to be the color of red coraline. Instead, it's kind of a pinkish purple color. I had a little epoxy showing after sticking some zoos to a ledge and wasn't worried... but I came back and looked later after it hardened and it was bright pink! Ack! Hopefully they'll spread over it soon.

"Useless"
- Product Review by David Siepel
(Posted on 4/26/09)
-
Comments: This stuff is useless, it doesnt stick to the rock, it isnt very sticky at all, even after curing for 15 mins, and once it hardens, it just turns into a soild lump that doesnt adhere to anything but itself. I was dispointed. I've tried three epoxys and two glues, followed direction to the letter and still cant get anything to get my rocks to stick to each other without drill holes and making rods to link them. So much for sticking my SPS frags where i wanted them

Comments: I needed to find something that would allow me to place corals on pieces of LR that I could not remove from my 210 gallon tank. I tried this and I was really surpised on how well it worked. I used it on the corals and frags then put them on the rock undr water and they all held without any issue. The color is OK, a little lighter than real coralne but better than grey IMO. I used it on birdsnest, candycane, zoa frags, and a couple ohers.

"Houston...we have color!"
- Product Review by Joey Hoover
(Posted on 4/2/09)
-
Comments: I am a Epoxy addict and the lacy aqua scape I like to achieve looks much better without the bright(white) spots of most epoxy I have used in the past. The red color is great and the product sets up quicker than the others... this can be a good or bad thing depending on how much time you need to get things in place. If you are reworking the tank completely and end up using the whole tube...keep a eye on your skimmer.

"Great stuff"
- Product Review by Scott Bayless
(Posted on 10/28/08)
-
Comments: I purcahsed this along with the Tunze Epoxy. This is great stuff. I mixed it for 1 minute, worked it between the two peices of live rock I wanted to attach together and withing 5 minutes it was already hard and holding the rocks together.

The only downside is that it will harden very quickly once wet. I had made a large amount and put some aside for the next set of rocks. I didn't think about it when I put the epoxy down, but I placed it in a puddle of tank water. By the time I got to the next two peices, the epoxy was hard and I couldn't use it.

This epoxy works great, just make sure to keep it dry until you want it to harden. Also, I'm a little peeved that they charge twice the price for the pink version. The grey version doesn't look bad, it just doesn't blend into tan colored live rock.

- Product Review by Brent Barrick
(Posted on 10/24/08)

Comments: I have already ordered more of this product and found it to work very well for me. It has a very strong bong in a short period of time. You do need to work fast because it hardens very quickly so you may want to order a bit more than you think you need to make up for any mistakes. It is a putty so it is also much easier to keep where you put it than a gel type glue. I would reccommend this product for its superior strength and ease of molding to the pieces you are attaching.

"Still trying..."
- Product Review by Lawrence Touitou
(Posted on 3/18/08)
-
Comments: I haven't gotten this product to stick underwater yet. The instructions read: "Press and hold in place for 2 minutes...
The mixed epoxy does not exhibit high bond strength at this point, but it hardens after 20 minutes and completely cures in 24 hours. Use with Plastic rods to form more structural bonds."

It does work very well and easily in air, but some coral frags are very difficult to hold in place and apply pressure to for 2 min. Mine are still recovering from my feeble attempts. They are still not attached. I'll keep trying...
