Comments: I am sorry to say that I was less than pleased with the product. It does remove sludge, but no better than Microbe-Lift gsc which is cheaper and easier to use. It did not remove all of the hair algae, and what it did grew back shortly, and more vigorously.I think the problem is in how the product is marketed; you have skimpy directions for 50 gals. do x for 200 do y. If the product is designed only for larger aquaria, it should say so on the package. My suggestions: 1. Include a brochure explaining how the system is supposed to work. 2. Give directions for use with different sized aquaria. Eg. for nano aquaria from 12 to 29 gals, for aquaria of 55-100gals, and for aquaria of 200gals. If Ultralife would do so I would give the system a second try, but right now I cannot recommend the product.

Comments: I used this product a couple months ago to find it did soften up my massive amount of hair algae for a short time... But it came back rather quickly... I am still picking it off the rocks by hand. Don't waste your money, instead, increase your water changes and monitor your phosphates, nitrates, and nitrites. I think you'll have just as good of luck by using a less costly media that is a phosphate "absorber" and you will find all kinds of these products in the form of filter pads or media.. Good luck.

Comments: I have been trying for two years to rid my reef aquarium of bryopsis plumosa, a very resilient hair algae, and have failed. I tried this product, and it hit the algae very hard immediately. The algae started dying off within a day, providing visible results of its effectiveness. This continued for several days. Unfortunately, a week later the algae seems to be growing back again, but I will try treating my aquarium again with this product.

<br />Fish, invertebrates and corals seem not to have been effected by this treatment. On the contrary, the corals are more exended than usual.
