Comments: The Van Ness cat pans were just what I was looking for but unable to find locally. The quality and product specifications meet the needs of my three cats.

Comments: I have some big cats. The largest is 22 lbs. They like their privacy and they need room to turn around and dig. These boxes are quite ample for for their needs and offer some features that I like as well. The hood helps keep the litter inside the box instead of all over the floor. The hood is an absolute must for cats who stand up to urinate. These litter pans are durable. I can attest to this because my cats also use them as launch pads to their favorite window. The rounded corners while still maintaining a rectangular shape make the litter boxes easy to set up in a corner. They are also easy to clean. When not in use, these boxes stack neatly inside the lid for space saving storage. I prefer these boxes to the small and oddly shaped boxes presently on the market.

Comments: I have been using this Van Ness Extra Giant Litter Box for the past 2 years and it is very easy to clean and a very small amount of litter comes out of the box in my cats' paws. I have tried many different brands of cat litter and have found Fresh Step Scoopable to be the best clumping cat litter. I use a large carpet and 3 mats just outside of the litter box and I make a small access path for my cat to get in and out of her litter box by placing 4-6 large containers of cat litter in a zig zag pattern right outside of the litter box. My cat has her claws so I cannot use litter liners and she has a tendency to dig and dig and dig and dig... when she uses the box and the box is very durable!! I only hook the front 2 clips on the sides of the box to secure the lid as I have not needed to use the back hooks. If one of the hooks breaks I know I have 2 replacement hooks available. I change the filters every month and have found them to be effective. I also keep a Bad Air Sponge near the litter box and these are excellent neutralizers!!
